The Technical Sales Representative will play a key role in bridging the gap between Oktogrid’s innovative transformer monitoring solutions and the needs of customers across the energy sector. This role requires a balance of technical expertise and commercial acumen, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of engineering, sales, and customer engagement.

The ideal candidate is a junior to medior professional with 2 to 5 years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or solution consulting, preferably within the energy, industrial IoT, or asset monitoring sectors. They should be comfortable explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, guiding customers through the value proposition of Oktogrid’s solutions, and supporting the sales team in technical discussions.

This role is well-suited for someone with a proactive and problem-solving mindset, who enjoys engaging with customers, solving challenges, and ensuring seamless product integration. The candidate should be prepared to travel regionally, work closely with the sales team, and assist in technical demonstrations and pre-sales discussions.

Age & Seniority

  • Junior to Medior profile (2-5 years of experience in a relevant field).

Location

  • Preferably based in Copenhagen, with flexibility to occasionally travel as required.

Language Skills

  • Fluency in English is required.

  • Proficiency in other major languages (e.g., Spanish, French, German, or Italian) is highly beneficial.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical understanding of IoT, industrial monitoring, or energy-related technologies.

  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling way.

  • Experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or solution consulting.

  • Familiarity with Value-Based Selling and consultative sales approaches.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Commercial awareness and customer-centric mindset, capable of translating technical capabilities into business value.

  • Self-motivated and structured, able to work independently while supporting sales teams effectively.

  • Willingness to travel regionally to meet customers, conduct demonstrations, and attend industry events.

Key responsibilites

  1. Technical Sales Support & Product Expertise

    -Act as a technical advisor during sales engagements, supporting Account Executives in customer meetings.

    -Conduct product demonstrations and technical deep-dives to showcase Oktogrid’s solutions.

    -Assist in responding to technical inquiries, ensuring customers understand the full value of the offering.

  2. Customer Engagement & Solution Selling

    -Understand customer needs and tailor technical solutions accordingly.

    -Work closely with customers to address technical challenges and support solution integration.

    -Ensure the smooth transition of customers from pre-sales discussions to implementation.

  3. Sales & Marketing Collaboration

    -Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop technical sales materials.

    -Provide insights to the marketing team for whitepapers, case studies, and technical documentation.

    -Support sales in RFI/RFP responses, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with customer needs.

  4. Market & Product Development Input

    -Gather customer feedback to influence product development and future innovations.

    -Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in the energy sector.

  5. Training & Enablement

    -Assist in training internal sales teams on technical aspects of the product.

    -Conduct partner and customer training sessions, ensuring proper understanding of Oktogrid’s solutions.
