The Partner Account Manager, reporting directly to the CCO, will manage and drive Oktogrid’s strategic partnership with ABB. The ideal candidate has 5 to 8 years of experience in partnership management, key account management, or sales, particularly within the energy or industrial technology sectors. They should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience working within or with large, global organizations, such as ABB, is essential. The candidate should have a thorough understanding of corporate structures, both formal and informal, and be skilled at navigating complex organizational cultures. They must be resilient, practical, and proactive, with a strong focus on building and maintaining relationships. A multi-lingual professional is a must, fluent in English and at least one other major European language (e.g., German, French, or Spanish), given the European market focus.

The individual must be a self-starter, capable of taking ownership of initiatives and driving them to completion. They should be a fast thinker, able to adapt quickly to new challenges and think strategically while executing tasks pragmatically. The candidate should be willing and enthusiastic about traveling extensively to engage with ABB sales teams and promote Oktogrid’s solutions.

Your qualifications:

● Five to ten years of relevant commercial partnerships experience.

● Experience in partnership management, key account management or sales. Particularly within the energy or industrial technology sectors.

● Experience working within or with large, global organizations is essential. You should have a thorough understanding of corporate structures, both formal and informal, and be skilled at navigating complex organizational cultures.

● You are resilient, practical, and proactive, with a strong focus on building and maintaining relationships.

● A multi-lingual professional is a must, fluent in English and at least one other major European language (e.g., Italian, French, or Spanish), given the European market focus. Your are based in Europe (preferable Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Belgium or UK).

● You are a self-starter, capable of taking ownership of initiatives and driving them to completion.

● You are a fast thinker, able to adapt quickly to new challenges and think strategically while executing tasks pragmatically.

● Willing and enthusiastic about traveling to engage with our partners' sales teams and promote Oktogrid’s solutions.

● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

Key responsibilites

Partnership Management and Relationship Building

● Serve as the main point of contact for our partners, managing the partnership at both operational and strategic levels.

● Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with our partners' sales teams, technical groups, and senior executives.

● Understand and align Oktogrid’s offerings with our partners business structure and strategic goals.

Sales Support and Enablement

● Travel extensively to support our partners regional sales teams, conducting product training, joint customer visits, and strategic planning sessions.

● Develop and co-execute sales strategies with sales representatives to effectively promote Oktogrid’s products.

● Equip our partners teams with necessary sales materials, technical insights, and market data to maximize engagement.

Strategic Influence and Advocacy

● Build relationships with senior decision-makers within our partners global structure to influence strategic initiatives.

● Advocate for Oktogrid’s solutions at corporate-level meetings, strategic planning sessions, and relevant industry events.

● Leverage both formal and informal networks within our partners to promote Oktogrid and ensure strategic alignment.

Pragmatic Execution and Problem-Solving

● Take a hands-on, no-nonsense approach to problem-solving, addressing challenges efficiently and effectively.

● Collaborate closely with Oktogrid’s internal teams to resolve partnership-related issues and drive alignment.

● Track and report on partnership performance, providing data-driven insights to the CCO.

Industry Expertise and Market Insight

● Stay well-informed on industry trends and market dynamics to identify and act on growth opportunities.

● Use industry knowledge to anticipate our partners needs and contribute strategic recommendations to Oktogrid’s product and development teams.

  • Attend and engage in industry events to network and bring valuable insights back to Oktogrid.

Bonus/Commission:

● Bonus/Commission Structure: Performance-based bonus of up to 20-30% of the base salary, linked to key performance indicators (KPIs).

● Revenue Growth: Achieving or exceeding annual revenue targets from the partnerships.

● Partnership Expansion: Driving product adoption across multiple partner regions or business units.

● Engagement Metrics: Successfully conducting sales enablement activities, such as training and joint visits, measured by the number and impact of engagements.

● Strategic Wins: Securing high-impact deals or strategic initiatives within our partners, such as major product integrations or multi-region contracts.

● Travel and Influence: Effectively using travel to enhance relationships and influence within our partners, with results measured by strategic outcomes or new opportunities.

● Customer Satisfaction: Maintaining high satisfaction levels among our partners stakeholders, reflected through feedback and retention rates.

The Partner Account Manager reports directly to the CCO, Olaf Knijn and will manage and drive Oktogrid’s strategic partnerships such as with ABB electrical services. Oktogrid is based in Denmark and the Netherlands with a team of 15 colleagues.
