Job description

The Marketing Manager, reporting directly to the CCO, will be responsible for strengthening Oktogrid’s market presence by developing, managing, and continuously improving our sales and marketing collateral, as well as enhancing our online visibility and brand positioning. The ideal candidate is a medior professional with a background in marketing and a passion for creating structured, high-quality content that supports commercial success.

They should have a strong understanding of how marketing supports sales, with the ability to translate Oktogrid’s value proposition into clear, compelling materials tailored to different customer segments. This includes ensuring consistency across all channels and aligning messaging with the needs of Account Managers, Account Executives, and Partner Managers.

The candidate must be a proactive and hands-on individual who enjoys taking ownership of marketing initiatives, from concept to execution. They should be highly organized, with a keen eye for detail, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards.

This individual should be a strong communicator, able to collaborate effectively with both commercial and technical teams to gather input and refine messaging. They should be comfortable working in a scale-up environment, where priorities can evolve and initiative is required. A creative mindset combined with a structured approach is essential to continuously improve Oktogrid’s visibility and positioning in the market.

The candidate will work closely with Account Managers, Account Executives, Partner Managers, Product Development, and Operations to ensure all marketing efforts are aligned with business objectives and support revenue growth. This role is based at Oktogrid’s office in Amsterdam. Hybrid working applies, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

Language Skills

  • Fluency in English is required.

  • Proficiency in other major languages (e.g., Spanish, French, German, or Italian) is highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

1. Development of Sales and Marketing Collateral

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve high-quality sales and marketing materials, including presentations, brochures, case studies, and digital content.

  • Ensure all collateral clearly communicates Oktogrid’s value proposition and is tailored to different customer segments and use cases.

  • Collaborate with commercial teams to create materials that effectively support sales conversations and customer engagement.

2. Online Presence and Brand Visibility

  • Manage and improve Oktogrid’s online presence, including website content, social media channels, and digital campaigns.

  • Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all digital touchpoints.

  • Identify opportunities to increase visibility, engagement, and lead generation through online channels.

3. Content Creation and Messaging

  • Translate technical and commercial input into clear, compelling, and accessible content.

  • Develop structured messaging that supports different stages of the customer journey.

  • Continuously refine positioning based on market feedback, customer insights, and commercial needs.

4. Project Management and Organization

  • Manage multiple marketing initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.

  • Maintain clear planning and prioritization of marketing activities in alignment with business objectives.

  • Track progress and ensure follow-up on all ongoing initiatives.

5. Internal Collaboration and Alignment

  • Work closely with Account Managers, Account Executives, and Partner Managers to align marketing efforts with commercial priorities.

  • Collaborate with Product Development to ensure accurate representation of product capabilities and innovations.

  • Coordinate with Operations to ensure consistency in communication and delivery of materials.

6. Performance Tracking and Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor the performance of marketing initiatives and materials, using data and feedback to drive improvements.

  • Identify areas for optimization in messaging, channels, and content effectiveness.

  • Provide regular updates to the CCO on marketing performance, key initiatives, and impact on commercial activities.

Compensation Details

  • Base Salary: €50,000 to €65,000 annually, depending on experience.

  • Bonus Structure: 10% of the base salary, tied to marketing effectiveness, lead generation support, and contribution to commercial success.

Profile of the ideal candidate

  • Medior level; 3–6 years of experience in a B2B marketing role, preferably in a technical, industrial, or energy-related sector.

  • Experience in developing and maintaining sales and marketing collateral: presentations, brochures, case studies, white papers, and digital content.

  • Hands-on experience managing website content, LinkedIn, and digital campaigns.

  • Ability to translate complex technical or domain-specific content into clear, commercially compelling messaging.

  • Experience working in a scale-up or fast-growing company where marketing priorities evolve rapidly.

  • Familiarity with marketing analytics and performance tracking tools.

  • Fluent in English; Dutch or another European language is a plus.
